works well can hold quite high wattage bulbs although it isnt very deep which can be an issue so if you are considering buying it try to find out if the bulb wil actualy fit flush with the end of the dome othwerwise if its being used ontops of a flat surface like the exo terra vivs mesh then it will roll around

the glow isnt as good as they make it out be its ok but you probably better off with a reflcting dome especially if its being used with a compact uv bulb

IN my opionoin its ok value for money it gives an ok glow but nothing special if i had to chose betwen this and the reflecting dome then i would choose the reflecting dome
