The product extremely simple to install, a simple screw in fitting is all that is needed. No maintenance is needed there-after.

| Performance vs. Expectations |
In regards on the manufacturer's statements regarding ideal for plant use, I can't agree more. I currently have this above our Dartfrog tank, and every plant in that tank are thriving. However I can not comment on the accurate level of UV actually being emitted, the bulk was purely bought for it's high 6700 K.

I am sure there are cheaper bulbs out there from less known companies, However, With the Exo Terra Light Canopy, you feel it's only right to go with an Exo Terra bulb to match. I beleive the prices of these compact bulbs are overpriced in my honest opinion.

Again, it comes down to the price of these Bulbs. I feel like most products from Exo Terra, It's more of the brand name.

Perhaps a little misleading
| Installation and Operation |
Installation into one of Exo Terra compact hoods is very simple. It is a basic screw fitting bulb.

| Performance vs. Expectations |
To be advertised as a UVB emitting bulb, you would expect it to actually emit UVB. In my opinion the levels which it does emit are almost non-existant, so if the main thing you require from this bulb, is the functionality you will be dissapointed. However if you are looking for UVA, then perhaps this bulb is OK for this purpose.

Considering its relatively high cost, and its poor UVB emittance, I would say it is poor value for money.

Unfortunately I find it almost impossible to find three things that I like about this product. However:
1) It is simple to install.
2) It's UVA emittance may increase the activity of diurnal animals.

My overwhelming impression of this product is that it isn't really fit for purpose. If you are looking for a UVB emitting bulb, please don't choose this one.
