much better alternative to black crickets, if you cant bare the noise. great for baby beardies, this is what i u se them for. they are very jumpy, but then they are crickets lol. we cant get everthing we want.

They are great value for money online. Had been buying them from my local pet store, and there is sooo many more in a box then there were there. which isnt surprising because it isnt great conditions there. But even with P&P it works out cheaper per tub,(particularly if you are ordering small and larges, e.g. for slings and adult T's. And most importantly dont have to go out to the pet shop :P

They are extremely healthy, no signs of them moving slowly, infact they can jump straight out of an 8' critter keeper. :S but its better for your pet.
There were no dead adults in the adult tub i ordered.

THEY DO CHIRP, a lot. as they get older more and more start chirping, and because they come with mixed ages likeley thing is some will be chirping when you get them.
There were quite a lot of dead 2nd instar crickets in the other tub

A great stable food

I buy these in bulk from various suppliers as a majority of my collection are small reptiles. The ability to buy a small food item, in large quantities for a good price is a life saver. It is notoriously hard to buy large quantities of small live foods but since ordering online i have never been let down using small silent crickets.

The best thing is the silence. When you do get that odd escapee (we all know they happen) and if they do develop into an adult cricket you don't get that annoying chirp. This has meant I don't get yelled at by my partner which is an added bonus. More focused on my supplier is that when my order does turn up all the crickets are alive and in good health, this is a great thing as when I brought from shop they were so often dead, or squished.

Joint to the previous positive, the fact they make no noise does make them harder to find when you do get and escapee. Secondly I have also found that when buying in bulk you do get a few other mixed in I have often found black and browns mixed in. Although this doesn't cause a problem for me I know I may cause problems for others.

I got mine cheap online
Over all it was good as i got them next day and they where all alive and healthy.
They where tricky to feed as they are so small. They get out of the smallest space as i found out.
I got them for baby Beardys and they did like them so they did eat them.
I would get them again but would only buy online as they are not cheap in the shops

I like the fact that they are more silent then other Crickets
The Dragons did like them so they where not waisted.
If you buy online there are some good deals. I would order lots of food for all my reps to cut costs

Sadly we lost some in the house and they did start to make a noise at night as they got bigger.
They are not easy to catch due to there size and drove met nuts.
They will die if they get stuck in the post due to there size. I found the bigger ones cope better

much prefers to black crickets

i much prefer brown cricket to black as they don't make that very annoying noise. As for the size i use these on spiderlings and small lizards. the price can vary a bit from around £2.50 in pet shop to around £1.00 online.

They are ok until they grow on a bit then they can start making a noise, well a few of them do.

Stay quiet for ages, not as 'bitey' as the black crickets can be. You can leave these in with your animal and as long asthe crickets are well fed they shouldnt bite them.
Good value for money as you get quite a few.

I buy mine online because you get much more than you would if you bought from a reptile shop. Buying in bulk is definitely recommended if you have a large collection of reptiles/inverts to feed.
