Little Crocodile Without The Bite!
| Comments |
These are great little lizards that are great pets. They are a grey/black colour with red/orange pigments around the eyes. They have spikey scales that make them look like little crocodiles.
I keep mine on a sand gravel mix which they do well on. It needs to be deep enough for them to burrow in, Also make sure to put enough plants, rocks, and wood in the tank for your lizard to hide in and climb on.
A skint does not need a lot of space, A single skint will be happy in a large exo terra faumarium. I use a heat mat to heat mine but a low voltage bulb is a good idea.
A small shallow water bowl is safest and i spary the tank slightly as sometime they don't drink from the bowl.
They are any small insects so are easy to feed. Make sure they are calcium dusted first.
They will handle well after a little handling.

Easy to care for little guys, They dont grow to big so you dont need a lot of room to keep them.

They are usually wild caught so lifespan can be shortened.
