1)The weight is good , My tortoise always knocks over dishes that I have outside in his garden enclosure. However this on my tortoise table has never been tipped yet. Very nice weight
2) Great design , looks natural. Nothing worse than a big blue jar lid as a water dish, Blends in with his natural habitat
3) Strong and sturdy- The weight and design of this bowl mean its very unlikely to break. The paint does not come off after long uses and its overall my top water bowl that ive seen so far

1) - The price , Im happy to buy it as its very good quality but when you put into perspective the price for what is infact just a bowl to put water in it does come across a bit steap.

Steady as a rock!

This product in my opinion is worth the rather expensive price tag if you want something that is more aesthetically pleasing than a dog bowl, it is just the right depth for our young bosc to have a snorkling trip and no matter how much he digs under it or round it he just can not tip it over!

1. First few weeks it got slimy round the water line quickly, now after a month or two it is perfect. I can only assume this was caused by the manufacturing process of the bowl as never had it before.

Holds water perfectly, but does occasionally have problems with algae build up, otherwise an ideal product.
Quite heavy aswell, and looks very natural.

The product is excellent. It is a heavy bowl perfect for animals that like to turn their water bowl over. because this is heavier they can't. It holds quite a bit of water. It has a natural design which is great for vivariums. It's moderately easy to clean. It is very pricey for a water bowl.

This is a fantastic bowl, they're sturdy, natural looking and deep enough for a shedding snake to have a bath.
However the only problem is price as you pay for what you get, yet it is good value for money, so well worth it.

Worth the money if you want all natural

I got this for my Corn snake when he was young, and its since been used on other reptiles...and is now permanently in my Leo's viv. Its a nice design and weight, just a bit pricey if you are just after a water bowl and aren't fussed on looks.
As I mentioned before I have had this bowl for a while, they are very hardy and seem to last a long time...its never tipped over....its still going strong now.

Its nice and Heavy...I've never had it tip over in the 3 years I've had it.
Its good looking design. It fits in easily with Natural setups.
Its useful if you are trying to avoid using things that don't look natural, and its colour and shape have stayed strong with all the wear and tear.

I was forever fishing dead crickets out of it. Either the steps on the side are only designed for your pets to get out or the crickets I purchase are just stupid!
Its a fair amount of money....but if you really want a natural looking Vivarium or something that can't be knocked over , then it kind of makes up for that.

A very realistic water dish, its deep, and heavy, so a snake or whatever animal can suberge themselves, and enter and exit easily without tipping the bowl over.
The price is slightly high for what I'd expect to pay for an item like this, but it does the job, looks natural in my corn snakes vivarium.

An attractive, sturdy dish

I love these dishes, they are great for small and some larger lizards alike. They have a decent weight and I have never heard of them being tipped over. They look fantastic, very natural. These dishes are very hardwearing, I have some in use which I have been using for over 7 years! There's no doubt that there are cheaper options available if you just want a water bowl, but these dishes make an attractive piece of decor and are worth every penny.

good sturdy water bowl

Bought this dish for my young water dragons, it is deep enough at the moment for them to splash about it. Have tried other models but they have tended to get porous after a while and discoloured

nice and sturdy, hard to tip over, fits well with the decor in the viv. Holds enough water even if its being splashed about by two water dragons. Have a smaller one for my beardies and they are quite happy to drink out of them.

Downside to being not easy to tip over is it is a bit heavy to pick up one handed from the viv with water in it. Bit difficult to clean can get a bit slimey on the inside, but a scrub with a scourer it does clean well. Tend to have a lot of dead crickets in it as they cannot get back out of the water. Was a bit on the expensive side

An All Round Good Quality Dish

Not only are these dishes sturdy, practical and natural in appearance but they are also a potential great bargain buy from various online traders. Suitable for a wide variety of not only reps but also frogs and toads as the bulkier design gives the security for bathing animals with lots of movement without tipping.

Brilliant for reptiles

This water dish is perfect for all reptile keepers. It is also reasonble price for a online shop which gets the thumps up from me. it sits nice in any viv or terrium because it has that perfect natural look about it, which suits most reptile keepers, that prefer to keep it as close to the natural habitat possible. I use these in a lot of my reptile set ups.

The only thing i don't like about these are the groves are hard to keep clean, it could have beeen designed a bit better for cleaning, instead of spending ages trying to clean around the groves.

A good looking and good sized bowl that will not tip over as its nice and heavy. Worth the money compared to others on the market and a very trusted brand. I've used this with many animals and all have been fine with it and not one as managed to knock it over.

Impossible to tip

My adult corn has a sneaky habit of digging under the water bowl and constantly tipped over ceramic bowls, not this one she can pass right under it without spilling a drop. I've had mine for about 5 years now and the sticker on the bottom is still there, don't bother trying to remove it, it won't budge. The interior of the bowl does have a slightly rough surface to it, which can make cleaning difficult.

Great quality product, very good weight to it. Much like an Ashtray but for drinking from. The only bowl my Beardie will drink from. Looks pretty natural, and fits in with rest of the Exo Terra look.
Can even make the most bare vivarium look a bit better and if you're someone who likes to make your own background, it fits in really well with any "Ochre" paint.

I haven't bought one for a while, but what did annoy me was the sticker that was placed on the base of the water bowl. It was a nightmare to get off.
Taken a mark off for the sticker alone. Yes, it is THAT annoying.

"THE" water dish

The exo terra water dish range are great, alot better than the older version that you may find has a couting over it that flakes away with age, but the newer version is alot lighter in colour and does the trick, no more flaky coating, just a water dish that looks good in any set-up with its totally natural rock pool look, it's large enough for smaller snakes to "bathe" in too, its also nice and heavy to avoid unwanted spillages which will rapidly increase humidity, and if you keep it in with lower humidity pets that could be a problem but not with this one!!

These are not the best water bowls on the market but are still up there at the top. There quite cheap though so the value for money is far better than most of the competitors. One issue with them is they tend to grime up quite quickly compared to some of the others and all the little rock crevices, although good to look at, get very difficult to clean. Ive always found the stair area on it the more difficult part to clean although its a good addition to allow livefoods to escape!

I have a few of these in various sizes. They are great for stability and hold a lot of water. Ideal for drinking water and also for the occasional bath,being heavy enough not to tip over. The only trouble i have with them is the steps. While being great for the odd loose crcket not to drown in there,they aqre a pain to keep clean. You have to scrub well in order to get everything of of them and its not easy to get mess out of the little gaps in the steps. Saying this tho i do love the look of these ones better than the other newer ones that are a darker colour. These seem to look good in any of the vivs that i have them in.

The x-large water dish from exo terra is probably my favourite out of their range, purely because of the amount of water it holds and the weight in the dish itself (empty) - which prevents tipping. It does however still have the same faults (in my opinion) as the others in that it can be hard to clean because of the rough edges and "steps" inside the dish itself. I do have a couple of these and still use them, and being fairly cheap in the right places means I may end up with more, but really I like sticking to dishes with a smooth all over finish because it makes cleaning time easier. Maybe i'm just lazy! If I kept display species on natural substrates however, I would no doubt be using these.

A decent sized water bowl, suitable for smaller snakes/reptiles to bathe in but I wouldn't recommend it for anything larger than a Royal Python (Mine is at a size now where she can't bathe in it anymore).
It's a nice weighted bowl so I've had no problems with my Royal tipping over and it also has a lovely design wich doubles as nice decoration for a Vivarium. The downside to the design is the cleaning aspect. It can be awkward to clean in all the nooks and crannies, so an old toothbrush often comes in handy to give it a proper clean.
All in all, Not a bad buy. Worth the money you pay for it.

Brilliant Product

This water dish is brilliant for animals that have a habit of knocking things over, it has a go wight on it and my Bearded Dragons are yet to see any spillage. I use these water dished for a number of different reptile, including my adult corn snake, the bowl is brilliant for him as he can submerge himself fully while shedding.
Its also very easy to clean the side of the bowl which is a bonus, especially as most of my animals like to do their business in water.
Its a nice size bowl, but the shape can sometimes make it hard to place in a vivarium if you have lots of different accessories in there.
The bowl itself if sturdy in structure, I've dropped them many a time and am yet to see one break so if you're clumsy like me its a good bit of kit to invest in.
It also looks good which is desirable if you're into creating more natural looking enclosures.

As I am for naturalistic setups this definately gives the kind of effect. I use them for corn snakes, royal pythons, rainbow boas and even commons til they grow out of it lol
I would say I have seen vary competitive prces with these and it may be worth searching all over before you purchase, The product does the job.

I like this item mainly because it gives a naturalistic look to the enclosure,looks nice and is very easy to clean (up to a point)
I have even used these as food dishes as it is more lickley to stop live food escaping as quick.
I have also used this as a dish to feed my iguana- I cannot give him the naturalistic look like most of my other animals however.

The only drawback with this item is its reluctance to clean poroperly, after a while the bowl becomes darker and darker with the content even if it is cleaned daily. well thats what I have found but even still I just like to look at it as even more natural when this happens
