This is a very sad post, but due to a change in the house ownership Cory needs a new home.

Cory is a male Peruvian guinea pig, he will be 5 years old at the end of May.
He comes with his cage, which is of the grid type known as C&C.
It measures approx 44 x 44 inches, although it can be altered in size.
There are 16 grids in total, 3 used for each side, 3 for a sheltered bit, and one to section off a square under the shelter for his bed.
Comes with a plastic sheet that goes under everything, three large fleece blankets, one blue, one pink and one white.
A small rainbow fleece blanket he sleeps in.
A large wool type blanket.
Two teddies that he plays with and some balls.
A bag of food, hay, and straw. Also any treats left over at time of collection.
A couple of bottles of things for if he gets cuts, or skin irritation.
Claw clippers and guinea pig shampoo.
Also comes with water bottle, food bowl and hay rack.

He is currently an inside guinea pig, he is good with children and is frequently held by a 3 year old, who can sometimes be a little rough, despite this he just squeaks and never even threatens to bite.
Needs a home where someone will have the time for him, can be a little shy at first, but once he gets to know you he will be waiting for you, ready to sit in your lap and eat some veggies.
Cory loves cucumber, but hates peppers, most other veggies and fruit go down a treat, especially melon and apple on occasions.

As for layering of the cage I generally do it like this:
Plastic sheet
News paper
Wool blanket
News paper
Old towels
News paper
White fleece (he stained it)
News paper
Pink or blue fleece blanket
And a thicker layer of news paper under his food and water.
I then have card board in his bed corner, with his blanket on top.

Having it set up like that saves time, the top layer of news paper needs to be changed every couple of days, and the fleece may need to be swept depending on whether he has thrown hay over it.
The top fleece and second news paper should be changed every 5-7 days.
And the second layer and towels probably about once a month.
