Thank you very much, now it's just a matter of getting hold of him. I would nrmaly go through his partner but she got a bit of an attitude because I wasn;t willing to put my family in danger.

i think its great that your still trying to help find them a home, a lot of people would give them back and just forget about them

Ya know ronster i sooooooo wish there were more people out there like you, you truely have a heart of gold hunni

Hun a friend of mine knows someone that has a rotti rescue i know he couldnt help at the moment as he is overflowing

But should you want to take on a rescue from him down the line then i know that he has mums and litters of pups at as young as 4 wks old through his door that he when old enough has to find homes for

so if you ever want to start from scratch but still help a dog that needs a home i can get his emil addy or tele num for you

To all those that are interested the Rotties have now gone to a dog shelter now. Personally I feel this is best for them as they can get sorted out to be rehomed properly

I've seen a lot of rotties with small owners, and even kids taking them for a walk. just depends on the dogs temperment
actually it depends not on temperament but on training.
I'm a tiny woman with 14 dogs from chihuahua up to a massive rottieXnewfie and none would dream of pulling me on a lead.
I also run an animal advice line and get loads of people phoning with rotties, staffies and other big breeds asking me to take the dogs in as they can't walk them, or the dog is crazy, not house trained, they can't control it etc. Some training and boundaries when it is still a small 8 week old pup would prevent all these problems.
As for someone with children taking on 2 adult large guarding breed dogs, then not understanding that they are bred to be standoffish and not trust strangers is frankly beyond me.
I adore rotties. I like all the large German guarding breeds because I understand them and am a strong willed dog owner with common sense and even I would be very wary of taking in an unknown Rottie. Sure I may know that the dog is mine but it wouldn't know it was mine. As far as it is concerned, I am a total stranger trying to take liberties with it.
Why don't people research their breeds a bit and not treat all breeds like dopey little spaniels (and before any spaniel owners object, I also have dopey little spaniels).
I have 14 dogs in total, most of them unwanteds and the latest chucked out of a car outside my cottage last month.Dogs don't deserve some people.

erm.......... thats not entirely true..........there are some breeds that are bred to pull ahem i have a couple of them in my sig..............

And Im sorry your having a go at the wrong person there RONSTER took the dogs in to try and give them a second chance..............the previous owners lied to him about the issues the dogs have

So please fully read a thread before jumping on the band wagon

Oh and not being funny with an attitude like yours to someone trying to help dogs out............i wouldnt want advice from you

At the end of the day training has just a portion to do with anything in buying a dog.

The 1st and most important thing should be research so you know what your letting yourself in for in the first place

I mean come on makes m laugh when people complain that their huskies pull on the lead im sorry but thats what a husky does..............and if you want to train that out of a husky then WHY the hell buy one in the 1st place!!! Dogs are not fashion accessories most were bred with a purpose thats why they should be researched !!!!!!!!!!!!!
