Visited the furballs yesterday and I must say, they are gorgeous!!! I have the older sister (she's just turned 1 year) to the younger litter and she's a great little cat... Slightly neurotic, but what tortie isn't??

With all due respect. 7 week old kittens are not ready to go. Kittens hsould stay with the mother until they are at least 10 weeks, if not 12 weeks. They aren't like puppies and psychologically need that extra time if they aren't going to develop neuroses like wool sucking etc as adults.
Almalthea, I have several torties and not one is neurotic. Perhaps because I got them at 10 weeks or older.
Why do people persist in selling 7 week old kittens? Is it because they did no research into breeding cats? It's like someone selling 3 week old bearded dragons.

At our Sanctuary we rehome our kittens at just over 9 weeks(when they have had their first vaccination) and they suffer no ill effects.Pedigree kittens get sold at 13 weeks plus fully vaccinated. I think for moggy kittens 8 weeks is the correct age. These kittens are now 7 weeks and by the time they are sold they will be 8 weeks which seems to be an ok age to let them go..I find that the saying naughty tortie is very fitting most are neurotic( I have been in the rescue business for at least 25 years) 2 of mine are Torties 1 handreared and 1 reared by mum and not removed until she was 12 weeks and both are neurotic In an ideal world all Moggys would be neutered but this will never happen so at least Princess and others like her are rearing the kittens well and finding good homes for them and NOT expecting the rescue centres to take them. I have 15 cats and 5 are pedigree, 4 I bought from breeders who sold them at 13 weeks and they still are a bit neurotic so its not the age thing. If they are going to suck wool etc as you state they will do it regardless of age, its more of a breed thing

i'd never let any of the kittens go to rescues, i no they have enough cats to re home without havin my kittens,
if i cant find homes for them they just simply stay with here, until i do find a good home for him.

and the older kittens are 8weeks old this wednesday.
