Default Wanted

hi, im looking for something which is a good size so not too big/not too small. that doesn't require too much room, and is the sort of pet which you can snuggle upto or it can lay at the bottom of your bed at night. anything but cats or dogs concidered, thanks.

Try going to a local dog shelter or rescue centre, loads of animals there needing loving homes with someone they can snuggle

Any rabbit can be a house rabbit.
The large/ giant ones in pets a t homenot only grow huge but are prone to lots of dental problems and therefore associated tear duct/ eye problems.

Best thing to do: go to a rabbit rescue (there are loads around) and get yourself a young adult bunny, very quick to housetrain, well probably no training needed at all. And, their temperament is likely to be set.

Young bunnies go through terrible hormonal stages and can have huge changes in personality.

Make sure you get them castrated (stops 'donger time'! once had a very disabled/ deformed house bunny- had back feet wrong way round, bad kidneys etc, so he couldn't be castrated as anaesthetic too risky. he was great but hated everyone except me and would charge at visitors He would also spin round by their feet doing the Donger Dance!). Does will need to be spayed to stop them getting hormonal and prevent uterine cancer.

In terms of space my house bunny has free range of all rooms except bathroom and Barry rom (my beardies room). The best thing for them, for night times, is an indoor dog crate. More room than those indoor rabbit cages; also easier for bunny to get in and out of. You can put a litter tray in there and they will use that so you can clean out every day so no smells. Hay and food can be kept in there too so mess is all contained.

Charlotte, my house bunny, has had to have her front teeth due to age-set maloclusion so won't/ can't chew up anymore. But, she used to be very good at it. i lost several speaker wires, phone chargers, books. But she is orth it.

Very chilled rabbit, my vet comments that he has never seen such a docile, chilled out bunny. Even when i hoover, i have to hoover around her as she just lays on her side trying to snooze, or does her bunny speedboat impression.

Get a rescue bun.

Sorry, what a long post! Once i start about my critters, i'm had to shut up!!!
