rats and cages
Ok i have a few rats and cages for sale.
cage 1...... 3 female rats, in with them are about 12 baby rats of around 4 weeks old. female rats.. 1 ginger 1 white 1 champaign hooded stripe baby rats 7 browns 1 brown and white hooded stripe 1 black and white hooded stripe 2 blacks. These come in a jenny cage with water bottle. cage 2............ male husky rat (nearly white), he is the father of the above babies. he is in a 2 tier cage with water bottle. am open to offers or swaps on these. Only selling as i only have 2 boas who eat rats, so dont really need them anymore.

I would have happily taken them and tried to rehome them for you but you are too far away.
 Has the buck alwys been by himself? He is probably very lonely. Stick 2 of the baby boys in with him, that should cheer him up. They should be fine to go in with him once they are 4.5 weeks. Are the babies getting extra protein, like scramled egg etc? If no one wants them pm me and i may be able to sort something out.

no the husky is usually in with the females but when the babies were born there was alot of fighting and they beat him up, so i took him out, the females get very mean towards him, but only when babies are there.
Yes i give them eggs and chicken once a week plus other goodies. Its not a problem if no one wants to buy them, as they will be culled for food.

Lovely, pull on my heart strings why don't you! If you want them to go to a home instead of food i may be able to organise something through a rat rescue that i am a trustee of. They won't give you any money for the rats as that is against their policy but i would pay for the cages. If interested just pm me. Are you not attached to them at all? Surely a nice new home would be better than snake dinner. What age are the does and buck? Any health problems? e.g. respiratory, lumps, porphoryin, lameness?

no im not attached to them, sorry if it sounds cold, but when breeding for food you have to detach yourself, and think in the way that im providing my snakes with healthy food, unlike the poor lab rats.

Ok, if you change your mind, feel free to pm me and i will sort something out. Like i said, i would pay for the cages but rats would have to be 'free'. Or i could swap you for a 3ft viv.
