My daughter would have him in a blink of an eye but she hasnt' got the transport.
Anything to stop him being PTS. She only has neutered bull breed bitches.
We neuter all our dogs as well.
I already have a rescue Rottie boy, my daughter doesnt' live with me now, she has her own family.
I also took on a beautiful St Bernard x from this forum and he is now neutered.
When are you leaving the home??? We got him from Jamie-C
We may be able to sort something out for next week?????

PM me if you are interested in getting him a great home.

I already had a bitch rotty and he was spayed the day we got him. he was going to be put to sleep because nobody would pay £100 for him, so i did save him, and i admire any bodyelse that has done that. BUT expecting people to pay for the privilidge of rescusing an animal that nobody else wants due to possible aggresiveness issues, the fact he is an adult and still needs to be spayed, is very unrealistic. MUCH better to give him to a longterm home where his needs will be met on a lifelong basis without the worry that he will be used to stud yet MORE rotties that nobody wants when they are grown up and a big smelly inconvenience! but what the hell, whats another 10 rotty pups to rehome when nobody wants this poor chap......
I know you didnt mean me hun and i know what you was aiming at was there wasnt enough people like you, me and others like us out there

what we need to do now is find someone who could get the gorgas boy to saxons daughter as she would be perfect and saxon knows ample on rotties too so he would be perfectly placed with them

John and I would have him but with everything going on at the moment we are having to rehome our snakes and already rehomes our iggy and tarantula.
The new landlord was fine with the four dogs we have but he did ask us not to 'replace' my old mastiff when she 'goes'.

If I had transport, which I no longer have as both my cars are pooped, Mandy and I would come down and get him.

I hope he gets a good home I'd hate to see a lovely dog like him PTS in his prime.

There was a raid on a puppy farmer in Scotland last year. He had acquired 30 dogs, all breeds, 13 I think were rottweilers, free or cheap. Some of the previous owners were traced through their dogs microchip. They all thought their dogs had gone to live on a farm with a pond and another dog of the same breed to play with. In actual fact they had gone to live in a field in large metal storage containers that leaked and were infested with rats. Rats were even running around a litter of new born puppies. One container was full of rotten tripe that was being fed to the dogs. Each container was split in to 2 or 3 runs and the dogs were kept there 24/7. I saw the dogs that came out of there and some were so terrified they had to be sedated as that was all they had ever known. A handful of the dogs can never ever be rehomed so will live their lives out in rescue kennels.

So please be very careful about where your boy goes. It can't be about money and it's not something that should be done in a hurry. I personally believe if you get something at a disposable price then it is disposable but. saying that,I would rather give a dog away to a terrific home than get money from the wrong home.

Brilliant news. When you live with these dogs every day all you see is big cuddle monsters. Some of us were just trying to point out that someone may want him for all the wrong reasons. At the moment he sounds like a credit to the breed, in the wrong hands he wouldn't be for long. If that happened and he bit someone they would probably say he was aggressive when they got him and you could be sued for passing on an aggressive dog. Other than that he could have ended up in the hands of a puppy farmer, nice cheap dog that can make them money. I am involved in Rottie rescue so I know first hand what can happen to these babies and how plausible some people can be trying to get a dog. At the end of the day they could still go to a breeder and pay £500 for a pup but at least you know it's not your boy they have. How would you feel if you found out he had been pts for biting or was kept locked in a shed all his life? If it was me I would be wishing someone had warned me of the dangers.
