The last part of your post is simply not true. If a breeder doesn't want to sell her piglets for anything other than pets, and they come from registered purebred parents. How do they suddenly become crossbred because they aren't registered? So if someone crossbreeds a kune to a german micro, but registers them as kunes, they will become purebred simply because they are registered?
Out of a litter of 12, not every single piglet will be show quality anymore than a litter of my pups will be.There may be one or two show quality ones but they rest will have some small fault which makes them only pet quality. If you want to sell anything as top show quality, you are better advertising among show circles to get top prices as I think you'll find that someone who wants them just as pets, really won't want to spend more than necessary.
Do you show yours?
Here is Audrey (purebred and registered)

and here is Audrey and her brother Amos.
Amos is by the same parents but unregistered. Perhaps you can explain how Audrey is purebred but Amos is crossbred given that they are brother and sister from the same father and mother and the same litter because I don't understand how this can be.

Kune Kune pigs are a medium sized pig not a small breed and are comparable in size to Middle Whites and Berkshire Pigs. Compared to a standard pig, ie Tamworth, Old Spot the are small. Compared to a commercial breed pig, they are tiny.

Here are some pics of one of the males of the litter, he is perfect show/breeding form and pretty much matches the standards for a show kune kune. Offers of £800+ for him, please PM me if interested (serious buyers only please).

PS he is placed next a pint glass to demonstrate his size.
What is the pedigree of the Boar and Sow this pigglet comes from and what shows have the parents won to justify such an over inflated price. Even the British Kune Kune Pig Association can only justify prices in the range of 150 to 250!!!

That was meant as a joke more than anything but the point I was trying to make was that there are alot of people selling as kune kune's which aren't purebreds which us just giving a negative image for the breed which is why "most breeders" prefer to register their pigs as to distinguish themselves from those who are just trying to make money. I also Don't remember saying that the whole litter was of show quality (I apologise if I did). But I'm not here to defend my prices or my comments I'm just here to advertise these pigs for my mum so rather than complain about prices why don't you just leave the thread for people who are interested in purchasing piglets. Having already taken deposits for 2 piglets at the standard price (£450) we have no intentions of lowering the prices on them. If anyone has anymore negative comments about my thread then please feel free to keep them to yourself as I'm not really interested in hearing it, If you think the prices are too high then buy from somewhere else we have no problems selling them.

Cheers

Perhaps you should follow your own advice and not post comments that give the impression that the other add for Kune Kune's are crossbreeds and that they are not to be considered but yours are the only ones worth considering.

I have heard of people keeping these animals as house pets but I would NEVER recomend it. They also need daily grazing to maintain a healthy diet so unless you have a large garden or a ready supply of turf you would struggle to keep these guys in a house.

Are you slightly special? How many adverts do you see on TV or read in magazines that say "buy from us, even though everywhere else is just as good" I assume that if you're smart enough to type you're smart enough to make a decision about where to buy your livestock from, so stop wasting your time reading threads for the purpose of complaining about them. All I am saying is that I can guarantee the quality of my piglets as they are registered, would you buy a pedigree dog if it was not KC registered or did not have a record of pedigree? No? And neither would anyone who was serious abouth their kune kune's.
