Hey Pouchie - the pink eyed ones will be champagnes (just in case anyone gets them mixed up with another variety of rat called cream!).

Hope that's useful

ahaa! ladyboid had a guess at champagne but I just put 'cream coloured' lol as they are very pale, almost white. Nowhere near as dark as the champagnes I have seen and more of a blue tinge than a browney - yellowy hue.

Have not seen one as an adult yet though so guess they must just start off pale.

Cheers matey

If both parents were blue based (which I assume they were) then your champagnes will be blue-based champagnes, meaning they'll stay a pale, almost icy colour as they grow up. Very pretty animals ...

Yes both parents are blue. Thanks for that Toyah. Ladyboid and Amalthea helped determine my double rex are actually hairless as recessive rex cannot team up with dominant rex to make double rex and I only ever get these 3 extra varieties pop out of my blues so now I'm all sorted.

The last one of the pale ones to be sold is being shown soon and her owner was going to ask the judge what variety she is as every ratty person he knows has told him something different
