Have you tried the Cinnamon Trust?
They're a charity that help care for animals when owners are ill etc.
They can walk your dog for you and stuff like that.
Might be worth a try.

Hiya, Don't know if it helps but when the NHS kindly dropped my fiancee and broke her spine and was in a wheelchair she got a dog walker in (before i was around) in the Norfolk area and for £5 a day she came for an hour, walked our great Dane for 45mins and did some house work for 15mins, just to give you an idea of whats available. Teach your dog fetch in the livivg room then you dont have to move? sounds stupid but keeps them occupied. Also some mental stimulation, I tought our great pain to find the treat under cups that i swapped about and you can hide things around the house so they have to search. Putting treats in a plastic bottle wears them out as well as it takes them ages to get them out. Good luck what ever you decide to do

I have long term problems, but usually they are controllable with painkillers and subside over a matter of days when i get a flareup. It is not my fault that it has been worse and for longer recently. I would not have gotten him in the first place if I knew it would get as bad as it has done. I'm perfectly aware that it isn't fair on the puppy if I can't walk him. Luckily I can.

I honestly don't see what concern it is to either of you though, I am keeping him and that is all that matters. Please keep your damn noses out unless you are willing to help, which obviously you aren't

Well said!

It really surprises me the amount of people on here who, just for the hell of it I presume, push their noses into things to show their lack of compassion.

I wish you all the best with your dog rattygirl

Actually I did offer her advice which was ignored. She was also given advice by other people that was also ignored. I actually feel sorry for her being in that position, but the lack of thought that goes into her decisions on pets has astounded me and a lot of other people and she knows this.
