Had seen your advert Tom..... they sound fab. However would prefer a rehome, simply because there are so many Birds out there being pushed from home to home, it breaks my heart. Any animal which makes it to the Meldrew House gets a home for life no matter what!!!!

Shes a Max. Pionus and pretty laid back, shes handled the gradual introduction of both budgies (who now live in her cage with her ) really well. I know its no guarantee for any future additions to the family, but as with children you never know what they will do.....

Just a thought ... sorry must admit that I have not read all the messages on this thread so it may have been suggested already, but have you thought of joining Birdline.
They do fantastic work putting birds out to foster homes and as long as your a birdline member ... some thing silly like £20 a year (please do not quote me on this) the bird is yours to keep.... Well worth thinking about.
My friend recently adopted a Sulpher Cockatoo who is amazing!!!
Hope you don't mind me adding the forum link

Smile rehoming my african grey

Hi i am new to this wrighting on forums so be patient with me .I am trying to rehome my african grey clifford he or she not shore what sex it is 8 years old we think it is a he .He has been hand reard he likes to talk a lot but when he is being noisy i put blanket over his cage dont say anything to him why i do this and after 5 mins because he stops being noisy i uncover him again. So he does understand when that blankets goes over cage he needs to quite down a bit.He has never been nasty to anyone he has only bitten my husband once and that was because some how he had hurt his claw and it was bleeding so we had to take him to vets and trying to get him out in to pet carrier he did not like because his claw was painfull.Reason why i am trying to rehome him is because i have a little girl now and he does not come out that much and i dont think it is very fair to him to be in cage and not come out.And i have a cat aswell and she keeps trying to jump on his cage and i am frightend he will hurt the cat badly.
