Default Gerbils wanted

I have recently started keeping these again after not having any since childhood, id forgotten how lovely they are

I currently have just the standard agouti (brown) coloured ones, so im looking for some different colours of any age or sex.

If you have any available and you are in the Liverpool/Manchester/Cheshire area please let me know.

Thanks

hey

i can let you know what i have next time i am passing if you want? i have several colours.. varying shades of greys, argents, burmese, albino, black, cream etc etc.. all come in pied or self depending on what each litter throws each time..

i was amazed at how many colours gerbils come in these days! when i got my first.. some 29 years ago now, they only really came in brown!!

lemme get some pics up of ones i have had in the past..

rory used to have a mad breeding stock of gerbils.. he used to get 20+ different colours from his lot. we don't have them anymore, i guess my lot do 10-15 colours tho, if i really go through and try and work it out.. there are names for all the different greys - dove, silver etc etc.. to me they are light grey, darker grey and grey agouti... to gerbil fanciers they are posh things like silver nutmeg, polar fox and all that jazz!

hth

Awww, I love gerbils, but around here I just can not find any either. I have lilacs, albinos, black and slates at the moment but after motled and agouti...
The good thing about breeding gerbils is that they sell easier than the rats or mice ... bad news for the other half who is always after them for feeders. The last three he stole off me though now live in the house as house pets so they have wormed their way in to his heart too

Nerys, you have some beautiful Gerbils, I am green with envy
