Wow, certainly is very large. Our bengal is tiny, but she is only around 15 months old.
£900 is a lot even for a breeding cat. Mine was £450 with the option to breed if I paid more - but I couldnt breed her as she came with Chlamydia ( another story - very very annoying) and complained, so there was no way they would give me permission to breed her now. So I ended up getting her spayed.
Does anyone have difficulty getting their bengal cat to eat biscuits? Mine just wont touch them and will only eat certain wet food, she is a very picky eater.

Just curious why they wouldn't give you permission to breed her now, was it cos you complained (if it was you had a right to!), or was it because of the Chlamydia?

I did not dare ask, we seriously fell out due them insisting she did not have chlamydia. She was sneezing when we bought her but we thought it was just because it was windy ( we met in a car park). I took her for a check up two days later and got swabs sent off which costr me around £70-80, they came back positive. She was quite poorly with this which causes cat flu like symptoms for weeks. They offered to take her back but I couldnt part with her because I am soft. My vet wrote a report for them as we were concerned that they were selling other cats with it too, but they got rather angry. We ended up paying around £150 in vets bills too, which is unfair when you pay £450 for a cat. All I wanted was for them to get their own cats checked to stop the spread of it, but they refused and said it was impossible for her to have had chlamydia from their cats, even when i explained that some cats can be carriers but not display any symptoms.
We could not even give her the appropriate treatment initially due to her age, the medication would damage her tooth enamel which had not fully developed anyway as she was only a few months old. To be honest its probably best we spayed her, at least we won't be spreading chlamydia around.

Ive just been looking at your site, you have some beautiful cats, I think I like the look of Kisha best. I ended up naming some of my pets after Skye and the Cuillins and was also quite taken by the warriors names, funny coincidence.

bengals are very picky.. i have a cross bengal his father was a snow his mum a white moggy.... but hes way more bengal than moggy... i was so lucky that the lovely kerrie from this site charged me £25 for him.. she paid over £100 for him so i was very lucky... we recently chose a lovely female from a bengal breeder in scotland but we had to decline when it came the time to collect her.. i had just found a young female cat dead on our road and ive bene so petrified that i havent even let my own cat out.. ii was really looking forward to getting my female snow spot bengal... but wasnt to be...

Louie my cross bengal WELLLL...he only likes fish based foods... occasionally chicken but never game or beef or anything..

he wil eat hills chicken dry.... but not much else...

they do say bengals have sensitive tummies too....
thats a gorgeous piccie u have there... almost as gorgeous as Skye... lol.. i would say that though Im from Scotland

Yeah Bali is incredibly picky, she will eat chicken, turkey, tuna, rabbit and beef felix in jelly but not a lot else. The only dry food she will touch is Science plan chicken.

Scott I wouldn't have liked to risk passing chlamydia on, just in case she is now a carrier. Maybe one day in the future I will get another female to breed, but to be quite honest she is a handful as far as cats go, so two cats are enough at the moment.

Thanks for the explanation - I can't believe they met you in a car park!! That actually beggars belief to me as a breeder! Neither can I believe that they sold her to you without pet insurance when Pet Plan allow breeders to insure their kittens for free for 6 weeks from the date of sale, so they could have done that for you for nothing, which would have saved you all that money! Obviously not caring, bone fide breeders imao!!!

Thanks for the comments about my cats. Kisha now lives with my son in Ayrshire because she couldn't maintain her position in the hierarchy and, unless she had kittens, she was always at the bottom and scared of all the others. Now she is an only cat and very happy, so it was the right thing for her.

Funny coincidence about Skye and the warrior deities too! Small world indeed!

Oh she was sold with pet plan insurance, but that does not cover for an illness prior to me buying - which my vet was certain she had upon purchase.

Oh, of course! You could have reported her to GCCF as it's part of their kitten charter that kittens should not be sold with any sign of illness.

I presume that you visited the kitten and decided on the purchase before you met her and the meet in the car park was purely to hand over the kitten to save you a journey???
