I thought budgies were agressive to other birds? or does that only happen if the budgies go in first and the other birds are introduced later? Did you make that aviary yourself? Can you make me one? Or at least tell me how you went about making it?

We've never had any trouble with budgies and cockatiels living together. In fact one of the cockatiels gets a budgie to feed it, as if it was a baby!

My husband made the aviray. Its 10ft long, 8ft high and 8ft wide on a solid concrete base. He used mainly 2"x2" wood and bought a couple of rolls of strong wire which was just over £100 a roll on special offer. It took him a good week to get it all done and ready for the birds to go in. They can go in and out of the shed behind whenever they want to and the indoor flight is heated for the winter as well. Hubby just made the aviary to his own design.

That's a lovely spacious aviary you've got there - plastic sheeting on the sides? nice one - well done!!
