my fiance's brother died, a few weeks back and we are having his two jack russels when we move into his house, they will be in pens in the back garden, I wasn't a big jack russel fan but his two dogs are beautiful and he loved them like they were his kids or something.
thanks for posting these lovely pics, she is a beauty!

She's lovely! if she's registered with the Kennel club, then you know her breeding, and I would just ignore people! Lots of people thought our Golden retriever was a lab when she was a pup!

thanx for such nice comments about her guys

When we got her off the breeder we was told they dont register JR they the only breed you dont have papers for or something,

littlelinnnies why will your brothers dogs be kept in the garden in pens for? have they never been house trained or something?

Yes deffo your more than welcome to one  most of my friends also want one and she aint even preggers yet poor girl lol
i think she'll be a great mum though, ive got my eye on a good stud at the moment already which also has great pups.

i dont think her parents have been registered with the JR club or the lady would have said when i brought her, so i cant register bindi-sui then??

Both of those websites state that brindle markings are not allowed?

Why don't the kennel club register them? Also, are there any known defects in Jack Russel terriers, and before being bred would they need to have relevant health checks such as hip scores etc, or is there just no instance of problems within the breed?

Farmer where I keep my horses has two JRT, he bred them, and they are fromt he samelitter, but like chalk and cheese! One very friendly and will doanythign for attention, the other quite shy and reserved. Both absolutely gorgeous though!

just like large dogs can have trouble wi hip dysplasia, small dogs have trouble with back knee caps, its quite common in the small dogs. but our jf has this and apart from running around wi one back leg up, it does not stop him in any way. there is an op, but you have to keep them totally still for six weeks after, and you try keeping a jr still. he gets one painkiller a day, and he just takes it like a dog biscuit. not every small dog will get this though, so dinny worry.
