Default Nice clean doggie

Thought I'd share with you some pics of our Cavalier King Charles just after his bath - he's not usually this clean!

'Yes Mum, I know I look lovely, but hurry up and take the picture!

'Ahhh, that bath was very relaxing. Think I'll have a snooze now'

Hope you like!

Aw she is adorable, we have just reserved a little Cav puppy, she is blenheim too..

The one we are hoping to get is the one licking my missus hand, but the breeder has first choice, so we just have to wait and see what one they choose. But those are the three girls from the litter..

Awww, what cuties! It won't matter which one you get cos all Cavaliers are lovely! We chose Alfie cos he was the dopey one who just curled up on my knee and went to sleep whereas all the other pups were jumping all over me and biting my clothes! Are the pups about 5 weeks old in that pic? When do you expect to get yours?

Yeah about 4 weeks old, and we will be getting her between 8-9 weeks. So not long!! Cant wait, I grew up with Cavaliers around me and my daughter will do the same (she's only 18 weeks old!). The other two girls were biting and she was the only one who was just licking my missus hand. Also, she is coming from one of the best kennels in the North West, and from a line of champions!

Hopefully will get more pictures this week..

We got Alfie at the end of July (3 years ago) and it was a great time to have him cos the warmer (!) drier (!) weather in the summer makes it so much easier for toilet training. Our kids were 12 and 7 when we got Alfie and we did the visiting litters in secret (so they didn't pester us to get a pup that we didn't feel was right), we bought all his stuff (bed, collar, bowls etc) when we'd definitely decided on him and put them in the dining room, with a picture of the pup in the bed, for the kids to find - they both burst into tears cos they were so happy and excited when they saw the stuff and realised what was happening. Awww, your little baby daughter is very lucky, she'll always have a cavalier for hugs as she grows up

Aw that sounds great! We were going to get a male, but the sire of the litter is a nutty dog, really hyperactive, so we thought with the baby that a female might be better!

We are still to buy all the puppies stuff yet, but we will just be picking bits and bobs up over time instead of blitzing a weeks money on it. We know that we will be feeding her on IAMS puppy food, to keep her weight constant, as the ones that I grew up with were given too much meat and stuff and died overweight. (Though they did live to like 14 & 16!)

They are such great dogs, really calm and such a lovely nature that Bethany will love.
