not convinced it is a roman snail. they have a light brown body and much closer bands and ridges on the shell, plus they are not normaly found this far north. I think it is a garden snail, but a very unusualy coloured one. I have never seen one that pale before, and can't find any pictures of any like it either. very intresting.

Yeh, ceaser is a little unusual. One of his eye-stalks comes out a long way, but the other one only comes out a little, like in the picture.
O.k, so ceaser isn't a roman snail.

I LOVE snails!! they are sooooooooo funky......My and my little girl spend ages in the garden with the garden snails and ive got 12 african land snails (which have just had 100's of babies!!!)
