Lol thought I saw little bit of fat on them! I stopped feeding mine peanuts and sunflower seeds and they lost weight but am back to giving them peanuts twice a week now cos they love them so much and come running up to get one when they hear the bag rustle. We've added some more to their housing too which has made them more active again cos they seem to get lazy and bored with the same thing after a while.
Gerbils are little fatties ![]()

Yeh they've put weight on, but not fat as such, but only cause their growing up. They were babies when i got them, so it's natural for them to get bigger and bulkier. I only feed sun flower seeds as treats and they dont have them often, they've had a couple once in the last 2-3 weeks. Not enough to put weight on, so it's pure gerbil-ness not treats. |
