Default The Mrs Wants a Hamster...

My girlfriend wants a hamster and im a little worried about the smell around my snake.
Will the snake be thinking of food all the time or will it not bother him?

Thanks for any feedback, Karl

My mate kept gerbils on the snkaes tank and it was always on the look out for food so he moved them.

Yeah i would just say move the hamster to a differn't room. They only take up a tiny amount of space.

i keep mine in my bedroom in a separate room from the snakes, i have something close at hand to stop the wheel moving cos as soon as the light goes out u can be sure they will want a bit of exercise on their wheel!! screwdrivers have so many uses!!!class wee pets to own tho!

as snake would be useful, then you wouldnt have to stop the wheel, you wouldnt have to feed the hamster (or the snake) and you wouldnt have to clean it out. what more could you want?

I was told if snakes were kept in the same room as hamsters gerbils or whatever they will be in constant feed mode and always strike for people but i have my hamster and rat in the same room (on oppsite side of the room) and all snakes are in secure tubs or locked vivs and my snakes seem fine with this
