hi i am writing this 4 a mate of mine(i only keep a tortoise)
he has loads of reptiles & spiders but he doesnt have the internet.

he wants to know how you apply for a DWA licence

Roughly how much is one

& he lives in a council house & wonderd if they allow you to have one if you live in a council house.

our council is lichfield & wonderd if there was any information on the net about this licence.

yeh heres the website mate, no point in telling you a price you might as well contact cos all councils vary loads, can be as little as £25 a year right up to £3000

thanks, would him living in a council house affect his application??? he does have lots of other weird & wonderful animals so im guessing the council allow animals in that house???

its entirely up to the council it may do, it may not he would probably have to get permission from the housing department, but as long as he has a sealed room set up thats not part of the living quarters then he will have a good argument.

If I was him id just contact the licensing without asking housing at all, they might not even ask, my council didnt mention it not once didnt ask if I owned the house or rented or had permission.
