Hi all
As a fireman and snake keeper I am just interested to know how many poisonous snake keepers there are in berkshire. I'm just interested as we obviously have to go into buildings that catch on fire and cann't see anything. Stubling across a dodgy snake could be a nightmare so just wondered how many keepers are out there and the ones that are would you object if the fire service kept a record on our lorries saying that the house has DWA snakes inside If you are a DWA keeper in berkshire feel free to pm me if you don't want to put things on the forum

There are no LEGALLY held venomous snakes in Berkshire. One of my roles at work is liaison between all local authorities in the Thames Valley area, so I have a list of all DWA licence holders in Bucks, berks, and Oxon. Feel free to pm me, it would make sense for the Fire Service to know where DWA animals are.

We have to notify the fire department every year we re apply for our license, we also had to inform the hospitals for obvious reasons and the police. If you contact the council they will inform you of any DWAL holders and the species they keep. Hope that helps.
