Now ya might think that is a big weaner rat for this snake but just look how big it's mouth is

hes awesome, and your set up is really smart, what sand do you use? and do you put anything underneath the sand? in venomous snakes in the terranium he mentions a layer of clay with sand over the top, but I wouldnt know what clay to go about using?

No nowt under the snake just 4 inch kiln dryed sand thats it....

I suppose impaction isnt a problem because they naturally live on sand, you said you got her as a hatchling how big is she now, and how long have you had her mate?

Yeah as above^^^^^^

She digested some sand with that rat so wouldn't that cause impaction or doesn't it matter because it would happen in the wild anyway?

I do try to minimize sand intake by putting food on a rock.
Iv had it about 18 month now Now it's on bigger food it's growing like a weed but at first when on pinks never looked like she was growing at the moment id say she is 36 inch long.......
