price is dependant on your local council, looking it up on their website would be the thing to do..

theres a thread with all the prices different councils charge, just do a search.

You need to get the setup and have the council and a vet inspect it before you can get the animal.

You apply from the local council, pay a fee, pay for a vet visit, get inspected by the council. The enclosure has to meet the standards and be finished in advance.

My county charges £500 the next county over charges £3000 and I know of one in england that charges £60 so it's a bit like the postcode lottery.

Every single year you have to be reinspected and pay the fees again. At any time if they're not happy they can revoke your access.

You also have to be over 18, in my county own the home you are living in (no rental, no council property) and have no previous convictions.

Did you have anything in mind in specific?
I quite fancy a caiman to be honest, Trese has alwasy wanted one and I was liek "erm... no i dont reckon] But Now I see it is do-able and within our grasp in space, financially, and hopefully ability.
Only the possibly licensing issues in our town could be a problem but may start looking into it in more depth.

so lee... what do you like?
