There are two sub species of gaboon, but they do not really differ greatly in colouration. I'm not aware of any morphs, google however would be the place to start.

there isn't a great deal of visual difference between eastern and western gaboons.

kl, i was just wondering, i may do it on hybriding gaboons with rinos to make nicer colours, although i prefer the whole normal pahse anyways.

would i be right in saying that either the eastern or western has 2 lines on its cheeks while the other has 1?

Possibly.

While lovely to look at I think gabs are over rated so not something I really look inot that much. nothing i'd ever keep myself.

I'm planning on a rhino viper though. Love em

id much rather have a rhino as well.

There is Bitis gabonica and Bitis gabonica rhinoceros, rhinoceros is the west african., but Rhino vipers are actually Bitis nasticornis, I think that its a subspecies gabonica rhinoceros that is

Bitis.g.rhino now has full classification as Bitis rhinocerous.

And the eastern is still bitis gabonica
