Default MDF? Plywood? Other?

What do people think is best to bulid a viv from and why? Pros and cons of each material?

Please don't include contiboard. I'm trying to decide what to make my 8x4x4 out of and contiboard don't come that big!

wbp exterior ply wood is good.what reptile is it for?if its not a humid species then that will be fine with out anything doing to it,ive just built a chameleon viv with it,pretty heavy though

if you used mdf on a viv that size it will need extra support in various places

i think conti board can come in that big the just dont have it on the shelf

It's for my little Burm and I have asked a few places about that size Contiboard but all have said no.

I thought I'd need extra supports so was thinking of doing like a frame and then putting the wood sheets either side of the frame.
That means better insulation too, should work the same as double glazing, or am I mental?!

You need a proper timberyard for big sheets of Conti, high street DIY stores won't have it, they only stock shelf sized pieces with pre-finished edges.
