Wrong section maybe? Could have PM'd maybe?
Never mind, i'll answer you anyways because i am just that nice

If you have any Exo-Terra's of the same size (as each other not same as mine

) go stack them and you will see. There is a gap between them (believe it or not) enough for air flow. The base of Exo-Terra's lifts slightly due to the feet protruding downwards a cm or so. The glass bottom of the top Terra does not touch the roof of the lower Terra.
Making sense?

Anyway, the gap is there, and the air flow exists, else i would be the first to know as it would stink to high heaven!
They both run from the same stat too, probe is in the bottom Terra, and to reduce the massive air flow of the top Terra (that they normally get with the open roof) i have put a kitchen towel over 2/3rd's of it to equalise it to the air flow of the bottom one.
Air flow is slightly reduced, but not cut off. The top is for the air to escape remember, and air pushing will escape from whereever there is a slight gap, the fresh air going in, goes through the vents below the front doors, as on all Exo-Terra's.
Hope this helps you see that i haven't put anyone in a viv without ventilation!
