I'm after a mat stat for my home-made incubator, don't mind if it's new or used but must be in PERFECT working order etc.......if anyone's got one they have spare or don't need anymore please PM me with all details including the price you want for it

Mat stats are poo IMO.

Try and get a pulse proportional one

POO for incubators or just crap generally.......I have mat stats for my leo's..........also why are they crap mate........just so I know in case I'm going to switch to pulse ones

I shouldve put my reasons.

They way I look at it is mat stats are basically on/off stats.

As an example, a mat stat set to 25 degrees will heat up to 25, then switch off. Once they drop to a certain temp, a few degrees lower, they will turn back on again to heat it up to 25 again. Therefore having a constantly fluctuating temperature.

A pulse stat sends pulse of electricity at the correct frequency to maintain a certain temperature, and therefore keeping the temperature constant.
