Default Arobeal Heating

I have just bought a couple of ATB's which came with exo terra 45x30x30 vivs once there slightly bigger.

Bearing in mind I dont really want to keep buying new heating else time upgrade them whats going to be the best way?

I was originally thinking about ceramics, then thought about reptile radiators which are 75W or get a Microclimate AHS 100W which say they can deal up to a 2ft cube, which is what the atb's would eventually end up in.

I'm leaning towards AHS's as they have there own thermostats, rather than buying 2 separate pulse stats.

Any anything i could consider?

Hmmm after a bit of reading, is a AHS going to be suitable as they have to place on bottom or side?

I thought for arobeal snakes you needed heat from above to give a gradient of basking spot at top and cool spot at bottom?

yeah i would put a mat at the base and measure the temp around the tank and add them where needed. still give them a heat spot above where they would usually bask.

just a thought but couldnt you buy a dual channel stat? lots of people sell them at reasonable prices and may work out cheaper then 2 AHS

Ah, good plan! I'm wasn't aware they do a double pulse proportional? Thought it only came in a dimmer stat.

*goes off to do some searching*
