Default Which lighting is best suited

Im currently building a 4 ft x 2ft x 2ft vivarium, which style heating do you prefer?

Whenever iv built them in the past iv always used arcadia ceramic lamp holder and bracket -

Livefood UK Ltd.

and had this running through dimmers.

Iv visited a few reptile shops and seen many of these
Livefood UK Ltd.

which do you use ???

depends what it's for, but I use basking spotlights (on dimming stats) just hanging in the vivs and ceramic bulbs (on simple on/off stats) that do the same thing - I did put a reflector in with one of them but felt it looked too much somehow and took it back out

For the spotlights I use battenholders that screw to the top (or side) of the viv, and for the ceramics I use the hanging ceramic holders as they can get quite hot and hang them off a little hook.

Hope this is what you meant

You still haven't said what it's for - the lighting / heating I would choose would be very different for a beardie viv to a leo viv...

Instead of using the arcadia ceramic lamp holder and bracket, I use the porcelain screw in bulb holders from maplins, Maplin > ES (E27) Porcelain Lampholder= they are much cheaper and just as good.
