i have the chace of one of theese at a good price but was just wondering if i can use it with a 150 watt ceramic or a 250 watt ceramic

Not if it's a 100W stat, you can't.

Also the 100w and 300w are called mat stats - these are designed for use with a heat mat.

The best thing for a ceramic is going to be a 300w or 600w Pulse Stat.

Do you have the exact model of the Microclimate? As I believe the 100 is exclusively for use with mats... and will be too low wattage for anything else anyway

Well doesnt the 100 stand for 100watts, so therefore no you cant as it exceeds the power rating and im sure what Athravan said about it being a mat only stat is true and a pluse stat better
