we always kept our geckos, beardies & tortoises on hemp bedding without any problems, AUBIOSE, was the best we found, it can be quite expensive from rep shops because they sell it in small bags, we found a farm shop that sold it in large bags for about £8

what i dont understand then is why if sand is a big NO NO then why alot of suppliers sell all different brands of sand, i picked up a bag of repi sand.
when people say sond use sand does this go for all sand types or ae the reptile sands that some suppliers sell ok?

i think i might do the tile thing and coat it with some sand but can i use any varnish cos im worries if the cheicals might harm my gecko.

if i were to use slate or tiles would i have to put the heat mat in the viv under the tiles or can i keep them under the viv ( would this generate enough heat for them )
