Smile Creative, natural looking moist hide

Hi guys, i was thinking how expensive the exo terra, and other makes, moist hides are and thought i would make my own. i know that the cricket tube with a hole type hide works well but i was wondering if anyone had ideas about how to make a more natural looking one.

post any ideas or pics you have.

I'm gunna give it a go and post a pic up here when im done, if your interested.

This is just a regular hide, but it would be easy enough to make a moist one.

Made using an empty cardboard box and expanding foam.

(It really does look better now, that's a relatively old picture)

People also use polystyrene. There's plenty posts in the habitat section, Check them out for ideas.

Good luck.

I know they are not the most natural looking but my geckos love moist hides made out of Utterly Butterly tubs with a nice round hole and some moss. For the slightly larger reptile a litre butter tub etc. Very easy to get hold of and very cheap if you eat butter!! Lol. Also some are green in colour for a slightly natural look
