I would have thought any UVB tube would cause the skin to burn.............

...............Sun beds come to mind.

Where I used to work the had a lighting chamber to treat skin conditions.
5 mins in there and you would have severe sun stroke.

One of the lads had some work to do on the chmber, he wore the protective glasses and came out looking like a panda.

i wouldnt do that naked..cos i would be a panda bare!

I guess this makes me a reptile geek, but I would love to know what % uv they kick out and if they would be suitable for crested geckos and such like that seem to benifit from low % uv

oh man thats all we have in the house i even have one in my bedside lamp

no joke that is all we use

also the UV % would be nice to know

you would need to sit at least 11" away for 4hrs for the skin to go red.
