Default Nighttime heaging.

Ok i don't suppose you have seen my viv in the other section but i am housing my iguana in a 8x8x4 viv. What i am after is some tips on night time heating. Am i better to use a ceramic heater, night time heat bulb or anything else. Also with a ceramic heater how can i make sure it isn't to hot/cold. What tempriture do they go to. Plus any other suggestions are welcome. Cheers.

Haven't checked the other thread, but if your room temp doesn't drop below 70F (21C) then you won't need any heating. If this isn't the case, given the size an Ig can get to, I'd recommend a basking plate or a tubular heater.

You need a pulse-prop (on/off) thermostat or a dimmer stat to regulate the temperature on a ceramic heater.

During the summer i won't need one but at the moment it gets cold as i am always warm so i don't have the heating on much. Don't know how warm the viv gets yet till i get it finished and play with the heatings over a few nights. Will look at a few of them options cheers.

Sorry about the spelling. Was a little tired. Well thats my excuse and i am sticking to it

Have found a fantastic heater that will do the job just well. I was walking through B&Q looking for timber and i came across a frost heater. It is thermostatic also so i get to set it to the right temperature. Just got to play with it now to get the right temperature.
