I thought this looked the part & even takes loads up to 1200w but i wondered if anyone had one or know of anyone who has tried one........

just realised that the product we got from monitors direct is the same product, lucky reptile also box it and our digital thermometer/hydrometer tested it against our habistat themostat and thermometers reading temps its a little out but they can all be that the temp reached and dropped alarm was annoying but that can be disabled without disabling the failsafe alarm don't know about the wattage issue as we are only using 1 heat mat on it. hope this helps

aye, i was looking at them thinking they look an awfull lot like the lucky reptile ones, the lucky reptile ones are good, have a couple here and have had no problems so far.. Am going to buy one of these just to see if there is any differances sometime soon though

the difference is the plugs and sockets are the german round type not uk 13 amp, I got 1 a while agojust to have a look inside, never ran it on a viv yet

i have one used it for six months now no probs at all it runs a 500watt heater the temp is within 2% either way well worth the money

thats not really a problem though... I use the german plugs and sockets on a lot of stuff.. They are rated 15Amp, not fused mind but i have a 15A circuit in my shed and seeing as most of my tools were from germany it made sense just to fit german sockets..lol.

don't know how to link a web sight but try Monitors Direct - aquatic pinpoint ph orp calcium monitors and controlers the product says for aquarium but is the same product code sevice was good and cheaper oh think it's done it automaticlly great.
