Default which stat to use

hi i have used a reptile radiator in my beardie viv for a couple of years, when i bought the set up from rep shop they sold me a mat stat to run it, as i need to get a couple new stats i wondered is there a better stat to use with the radiator ie would a pulse stat be better

a pulse stat maintains a constant temperature.
a mat stat turns on untill the temperature is reached then turns off so there is constant heating/cooling

hiya alison...pulse stat without a doubt just got one myself on e bay £25 bargain and marmite is doin fine hes settled in really well

yea get the pulse, that is what they are meant for, they just keep pulsing out heat, wereas a dimmer only really works on bulbs and it dims the bulb as the temps get to hot.
