Default Thermostat probe position

I am sure it has been asked before but cannot find a thread.
Just putting the finishing touches to my vivarium stack. Was going to put probe at cool end and set minimum temperature however the access on that side isn't very good (against the wall). Will it be a problem having the thermostat probe at the hot end instead?

Thanks

As long as you're checking the resultant temps at each end with a decent thermometer, and the temps are staying where you need them to be, it shouldn't matter too much where the probe is.

I always have mine on the warm end. I think it's more important to prevent burns that to prevent one area being slightly too cool - the snake can always move into a warmer area but they're not very good at realising when they're being burnt.

I agree, the hot end would be the more concern. My corn seems to move all over the viv at different times of the week and I suspect the heat needs are related to feeding etc. I am often surprised to find him in some of the coolest spots!

Ah good, I thought it wouldn't matter but that has cleared up and worries. Thanks.
