Default Exo-Terra Infrared Bulbs

Hi, do the exoterra Infrared (Red ones) give off much visible light? would they be suitable for lighting a vivarium in the daytime?

Depends on the animal-wouldn't suggest it for most lizards but is fine for snakes, what I use for my JCP...

I'm not trying to take over your thread, but I have a similair question, so I hope you don't mind.

Is the exoterra infrared bulb any different to an unbranded red bulb?

The Red Exo-Terra bulb does light up half a 3 foot viv. So it depends on the species.

Oh right ok, will just having this as the main light disrupt the day night cycle of the snake? Actually do nocturnal reptiles even have a day night cycle?
And of course I dont mind
