Is that the way most people ventilate them?? It looks very tidy having the holes around the lid.

I use a soldering iron to make the holes but I wanted to see 'where' other people put the holes.
I have since found that if I put the holes around the lid rim of the tub it holds humidity better which suits the royal and the blood. I have put the holes around the sides at the top for the corns and the tarantula and this seems to hold a little less humidity. I haven't got the frog and toad in one yet so I haven't decided where to put the holes for them yet. I've worked out how to attach the bottle and food hopper as well for the rodents. I'll put a pic of the 'finished product' tomorrow.

I use a drill and do holes at each end near the base and some more at the top, hoping to get a bit of circulation. The tops don't fit airtight which helps.
Can you use cable ties through drilled holes to hold water bottles and food hoppers?

I simply drill in and around those random bobbly bits on the ends!
Works well, adequate ventilation for Bloods, add a few more maybe for other species.
