Don't expect to have them long. a friend of mine gave me three the other day all failed after a few weeks. I don't know what he thought I could do with them so they are in the bin.

The mechanical ones are usless they dont last long and on uv you cant use them because they dont work on them because of the starter. I use a digital one for my basking lights they are much better and last a lot longer think it was only £8.99 in mho the mechanical ones are false economy.

Argos do two digital timers for £9.99, great value for money. you can have up to 8 on and off programmes, even on certain days etc.

I use one for my daytime light, another for my night glo, and and the other for my blue LED lights for evening viewing pleasure
