Default Habistat Matstat question

Hi, this may be obvious to some but i would like to check first to make sure i don't do anything stupid.

I have a matstat on a RUB for one of my adult Royals. The mat is the only heat source (no light as the RUB is clear so plenty of daylight during the day!) but the temp is only reaching a max of 75F. Now during the day i need to raise it to 85F but even with a decent room temp it isn't going up.

My question is:

The matstat has a socket where you plug your mat in, can i plug in a 2 socket extension there and add another mat to the side of the RUB by plugging both mats into the same stat?

I assume i can as even though there is only one temp sensor, its only one RUB i'm trying to heat so hopefully when i set the temp, if it goes over it will turn both mats off?

The load rating of the stat is 100W and the mats don't exceed it together as they are only 12W each.

Possibly a stupid question but its always worth checking before you fry something.

I wouldnt havent have a problem doing it that way once the wattage on the stat isnt exceeded.
