i converted an ikea wardrobe unit. it cost £60 then another £120 on wood runners glass and vents. i have 4 3ftx2ft vivs and an open fronted bit in the middle for my tort. the main unit is 3ft wide 2ft deep and 6ft7 high
the reason i went for the main unit was that the wood would cost me.

realistically an adult leo will get to about 8inches. so it's half its size extra in depth which is more than an 18inch beardie in a 24inch deep viv would have. Plus, how often you you see a leo, beardie or anything standing in a straight line from front to back.

this is a thread I put up a few days ago. I've bought this bookshelf which is 39cm's deep and will be perfect to make into a stack for 4 leos (2 in each).

Building vivarium....bright idea......?
