If the back is hardboard instead of contiboard you could line it with polystyrene sheet and possibly tinfoil. Can you use a large heatmat instead of the ceramic? I think ceramics tend to be fairly directional, whereas a 35"heatmat against the back wall would give a constant heat across the viv. I've never used a ceramic for an incubator so I don't know how it will work. > misting every day You might find it better to control the humidity inside the eggboxes rather than in the viv 1. Difficult to keep the humidity up in a viv 2. a contiboard viv might be ruined by humidity that high for that long. I used cadbury boxes with a few holes in the lid, and a deep layer of damp vermiculite.
