Default Viv conversion

I have a spare viv and I am thinking about using it as a big incubator, just was wondering if it would work.

It's a 3x2x2 wooden viv, with 2 vents and glass sliding doors. I would be using a Pulse proportionate thermostat and ceramic heating and misting every day to keep the humidity up..

What do you's think?

The viv should be OK. If the back is hardboard instead of contiboard you could line it with polystyrene sheet and possibly tinfoil. Can you use a large heatmat instead of the ceramic? I think ceramics tend to be fairly directional, whereas a 35"heatmat against the back wall would give a constant heat across the viv. I've never used a ceramic for an incubator so I don't know how it will work.

You might find it better to control the humidity inside the eggboxes rather than in the viv
1. Difficult to keep the humidity up in a viv
2. a contiboard viv might be ruined by humidity that high for that long.
I used cadbury boxes with a few holes in the lid, and a deep layer of damp vermiculite.

It will be hard to keep an incubator this size but never the less it is quite possible
