I really like short tailed opossums - definately have to get one or two of those - BUT: I'd love to own and exotic mammal of some kind and the choice would be governed by these guidelines!: - 1) Can live well on its own 2) would be okay left in the house (or cage/viv/enclosure) on its own when we are working or out 3) tolerate lots of interaction and handling and form a bond with its owner (Me!)


Please tell me if there isn't anything suitable for that and I'll be fine about! I know that I could have a hedgehog and it would be okay like this - but is there anything else out there? How about a bat - could I handle one of those at all? (or do they need to live in groups?) Thanks, Ben
