Default Pouchie - Encyclopedia Editor.... rofl

LOL I feel really smart now.. I have seen 2 or 3 pictures of pouched rats either on zoo websites or encyclopedia type websites labelled up as Gambian Rats when they look like Emins to me.

I emailed a couple of the websites. A zoo in America ignored me but here is an email I just got from Britannica....

Dear Mrs. Lawson,

Thank you for your email concerning our photo of a giant pouched rat. I apologize for the delay in responding. We contacted several advisers for assistance and were awaiting their response. They believe that the species pictured is most likely C. emini. Thus, we have revised the caption, and it will be online shortly. Thank you for bringing this to our attention. We appreciate your interest in Britannica.

Sincerely,
Amy Tikkanen
