Default New Cat Screening

TSKA-Rainbow is a brand, we are exotic livestock sellers in the main, and yes we have a political voice, and why not, why should we not be concerned over the state of play of our business, your collections as keepers and so on...?

It is only natural in our eyes to do so and be seen as such.

In recent months we have made some additions to the website. And of course with the new website currently being reviewed in 'bubble management', we have felt the need to be more than ready for the transfer to the new host.

We have received flak for some of our following additions:
[We receive flak, because according to the readership of our site, all non clients, we are now classed as political sellers]

TSKA Primate Guide to Purchasing:
TSKA - Rainbow | Exotic Species Consultancy Services

TSKA Primate Buyers Screening Form:
TSKA - Rainbow | Exotic Species Consultancy Services

Code of Practice Websites:
TSKA - Rainbow | Exotic Species Consultancy Services

Legal Links:
TSKA - Rainbow | Exotic Species Consultancy Services

But here is the newest of our additions;

TSKA Specialist Cat Buyers' Screening Form:
TSKA - Rainbow | Exotic Species Consultancy Services

No doubt when we release the TSKA Primate Codes of Practice, at the end of this month, we will have the primate keepers up in arms also!

I personally think its good having such an in depth screening process im all for it, and its nice to see people caring more about the welfare of the animals and safety than just making £££, but I also think that it may push business away to more unscrupulous sellers, if someone really wants an animal but doesnt want to have to go through all that screening unfortunately they could probably find the animals elsewhere.

they could indeed si, but at least we would not be selling it to them..

i have heard of all sorts in the last few weeks, from jaguar kittens in scotland to baby orangutans in oxford..

its at times like those, you begin to see where the antis are coming from tbh.

You are spot on Si, and this of course will happen anyway, and indeed it does.

There is no easy way for this to be resolved, so we just have to press on regardless, this is the right way, this is the best way, genuine keepers will respect it in the long run.

Those who just want what they want, will purchase from who ever they want and we can not do anything about it.

Way i look at it is:

1) People should want an animal because they enjoy it and want to get the most out of it and also want that animal to also get the most out of its life in a happy enjoyable way.

2) People who have nothing to hide and don't plan on cutting corners and have carefully thought it all through will have no objections to being screened.

3) Those people in 1) who get turned down if their intentions are good, they won't be throwing wobblers but taking on board that obviously it is for the best and will ask for ways to improve so that future applications may be successful.

I think screening does a lot more good than harm and only people unfit to keep have the problem and well that just says it all to me really.

Well said!

Just because you want a particular animal doesn't mean you're the right person to have it! Good intentions or not!
